From The Pastor’s Desk: May 2016
It is my pleasure taking a moment to write a message of encouragement, & new beginnings.
First of all, I am excited to see that our new website is now up & running. Though we still have some tools that need some additional time to set up (the online tithing tool as well as the sermon page), in the meantime this site can still be used as a tool to reach out to new people in a new way.
As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:20-22 “To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.” We are not called to alter the message of God in any way. However, we ought to try new approaches of delivering it. I am confident that the utilization of our church’s own webpage should do just that by providing additional information about our congregation & what we are about, which may lead some to Jesus either directly or indirectly.
For those of you who have been there with the church through it all, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. You have endured many changes over the years: New members, new boards & positions needing filled, new projects, new pastors, & the list could go on & on. Change is something that is difficult for everyone to deal with, but you’re still here after all this time. I wanted to let you know that your kindness & hard work has not gone unnoticed. I appreciate every single one of you!
With all of this being said, let us continue to have a tremendous year together.
Pastor Ronald Fleming.
